Little Minds, Big Discoveries

At Thinkle, children learn by doing, exploring, questioning and making sense of the world around them. Our thoughtfully prepared environment brings together purposeful play, hands-on experiences, movement, creativity and real-world learning.

Children are given the time, space and guidance to explore at their own pace, and gradually become confident, curious and capable learners.

Why Thinkle

More Than Learning. A Place to Discover.

Childhood is not a race to learn letters, numbers and worksheets. At Thinkle, we believe children learn deeply when they are given meaningful experiences, the right environment and opportunities to do things for themselves.

We observe. We listen. We guide. We carefully prepare experiences that encourage children to explore, experiment, communicate, solve problems and make connections.

Because sometimes, the most valuable learning happens when a child is simply given the opportunity to try.

Purposeful Play

Play that encourages thinking, communication, problem-solving and discovery.

Hands-On Learning

Children learn through touching, manipulating, building, experimenting and doing.

Real-World Experiences

Everyday life becomes an opportunity to learn.

Growing Independence

Children are encouraged to try, make choices, participate and take responsibility.

Built on approaches with a track record

We did not invent a new method. Thinkle brings together four approaches that have been studied, tested and adopted around the world, and adapts them for Bengaluru families.

Montessori-inspired

Children work with real materials, at their own pace.

The evidence. A US national randomised trial of 588 children at 24 public schools (PNAS, 2025) found that children who attended Montessori preschool ended kindergarten with stronger reading, executive function (attention and self-control), short-term memory and social understanding.

At Thinkle. Practical-life work, hands-on materials, activities children choose.

Reggio Emilia-inspired

Learning grows from the questions children ask.

The evidence. Newsweek named Reggio Emilia's Diana preschool "the most advanced in the world for early childhood education" (1991).

At Thinkle. Long projects built on what children notice, documented and shared with parents.

Finnish-influenced

Play first, formal school later, highly trained teachers.

The evidence. Finland ranked first in the world for reading in the first PISA tests (2000), and its 15-year-olds still score above the OECD average in reading, maths and science (PISA 2022). Formal school in Finland starts at 7.

At Thinkle. Outdoor time every day, unhurried routines, teachers who observe rather than test.

Play-based, inspired by NCF‑FS

Play is how young children learn best.

The evidence. India's National Curriculum Framework for the Foundational Stage (Ministry of Education, 2022) sets out that children aged 3 to 8 learn best through play.

At Thinkle. The Thinkle curriculum is thoughtfully designed with reference to NCF-FS 2022. Through play-based learning, sensory exploration, stories, creative activities and everyday experiences, we support each child's overall development at their own pace.

What learning looks like

Children Learn Through Experiences

At Thinkle, an everyday activity is never just an activity. This is how learning grows, through experiences that children can see, touch, feel and understand.

Our Programmes

A School for Every Stage of Early Childhood

From the first explorations of infancy to the foundations needed for the next stage of school, each Thinkle programme is designed around what children are ready to experience, explore and learn at that age.

Our environments and experiences evolve as children grow, supporting movement, communication, independence, thinking, relationships and gradually emerging academic foundations.

  1. 6–12 months

    Infant Explorers

A gentle beginning filled with sensory exploration, movement, music, rhythm, object exploration, relationships and early communication.

  2. 1–2 years

    Young Explorers

Growing independence through practical life, movement, sensory exploration, language, cause and effect and early social experiences.

  3. 2–3 years

    Curious Explorers

Building language, independence and early thinking through practical life, sensory experiences, construction, early mathematical ideas, imaginative play and social interaction.

  4. 3–4 years

    Thinklers & Discoverers

Developing language, phonological awareness, early literacy and mathematics alongside science, nature, construction, creative expression, problem-solving and growing independence.

  5. 4–5 years

    School Readiness & Beyond

Strengthening literacy, writing, mathematical thinking, communication, reasoning, concentration, collaboration and independence, helping children approach their next school experience with confidence.

Our philosophy

We Don't Just Teach Children. We Give Them Things to Discover.

Children are naturally curious. They want to know what happens when they pour, build, mix, open, close, push, pull, sort, plant and explore.

At Thinkle, we build on that natural curiosity. We create environments where children can touch, move, investigate, experiment, communicate, imagine and solve problems.

Our approach is inspired by ideas from Montessori, Reggio Emilia, play-based learning and Finnish early childhood education. But Thinkle does not follow one educational method mechanically.

We take what is meaningful for young children and thoughtfully bring it into our classrooms, our activities and our everyday experiences. The result is a learning environment that is purposeful, playful, practical and rooted in the real world.

School readiness

Ready for School. Ready for Life.

We believe school readiness is about much more than knowing letters and numbers. A child who is ready for the next stage is also learning to listen, communicate, concentrate, participate, make choices, manage simple routines, solve problems, work independently, interact with others and try again.

Alongside these foundations, children gradually develop early literacy, numeracy, writing and reasoning skills through developmentally appropriate experiences.

Our goal is not simply to prepare children to enter the next classroom. It is to help them enter it with confidence, curiosity and the ability to learn.

The environment

A Classroom Designed for Children

At Thinkle, the classroom is more than a space where children spend their day. It is part of how they learn. Our environments are thoughtfully arranged to invite children to move, explore, concentrate, create, communicate and become increasingly independent.

We aim for spaces that feel calm, welcoming and purposeful, with enough to discover, but not so much that children are overwhelmed by visual distractions.

Every material has a reason for being there. We choose materials not simply because they are colourful or attractive, but because they give children something to explore, practise, understand or discover. The environment changes as children grow, keeping their experiences fresh and purposeful.

Families

Parents Are Part of the Journey

The early years are a shared journey between children, school and family. We believe parents should have a meaningful understanding of their child's experiences at school, not just what they did, but what they were exploring, discovering and learning along the way.

We share observations and meaningful moments from the classroom, helping parents see the learning behind everyday experiences. And where it is useful, we share simple ideas that families can naturally explore at home, without turning home into another classroom.

Because learning does not stop when the school day ends.

You are probably wondering…

Will my child learn ABC and 123?

Yes. Letters, numbers and language, learned by doing, every day.

Is it safe?

Absolutely! We have CCTV · secure entry · first-aid trained staff.

Who will teach my child?

Trained early-years teachers, each with a DECE, NTT or Montessori qualification.
